Saxenda for weight loss. Saxenda (liraglutide) is an FDA-approved injectable medication for chronic weight management. Like Wegovy, it’s a GLP-1 receptor agonist, but it’s administered daily instead of weekly.

 Adults with BMI ≥30 (obesity)
 Adults with BMI ≥27 + weight-related conditions (e.g., high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes)

 Key Difference from Wegovy:

• Saxenda is liraglutide (Wegovy is semaglutide)

• Requires daily injections (vs. weekly for Wegovy)

• Average weight loss: 5-10% (vs. 15-20% with Wegovy)
